Scar & Surgery Mark Cover-Up
Where the story becomes yours again.
Do you carry a scar from a C-section, surgery or an old wound? We cover healed scars with a tattoo — and turn them into something you're glad to wear. At our studio in Beşiktaş, Istanbul, scar cover-up starts from ₺2,500. First we look at your photo honestly — is the scar fully healed, what design will sit well — then we cover it with a fine botanical, ornamental or personally meaningful design. For many people this isn't just cosmetic; it's part of healing.
Yes — we can cover healed scars and surgery marks with a tattoo. With a fitting fine-line, botanical or personal design we turn the mark into a piece of art. From ₺2,500, the assessment is free.
Who is it for?
Anyone with a healed mark from a C-section, surgery, burn or old wound who wants to cover or transform it.
Heads up
Fresh, not-fully-healed or raised (keloid) scars — these need full healing and, if required, dermatologist approval first.

Preparation
The scar must be fully healed (usually 12+ months). Bring a clear photo, and a doctor's clearance if required.
Pain Level
Scar tissue can feel a little different from normal skin; our artist adapts the technique accordingly.
Covering a scar is as emotional as it is technical; the goal isn't to hide the mark but to give it new meaning.
Scar & Surgery Mark Cover-Up — FAQ
Can every scar be covered with a tattoo?
Most healed, flat scars can be covered. Raised (keloid) or fresh scars need healing and, if required, dermatologist approval first; we'll tell you honestly once we see a photo.
Can a C-section scar be covered with a tattoo?
Yes — it's one of the things we do most. We cover a healed C-section scar with a fine botanical or personal design.
Is the assessment paid?
No, the assessment is free. We look at your photo and tell you honestly what's possible.
How much is scar cover-up in Istanbul?
From ₺2,500; it depends on the size of the scar and the detail of the design. The assessment is free.
Can a burn scar be covered?
Healed, flat burn scars can usually be covered. If the tissue is raised we'll ask for dermatologist approval first.
Can you tattoo over stretch marks?
Some stretch marks can take fine designs; we assess the skin and tell you honestly.
Does it hurt more over a scar?
Scar tissue feels different, but our artist adapts the technique; most people find it more comfortable than expected.
Can I get a tattoo over a C-section scar?
Yes — one of our most requested procedures. Healed C-section scars (at least 12 months post-surgery, tissue flat and colour normalised) can be covered with botanical, ornamental or personally meaningful designs. Send a photo for a free assessment.
How long after surgery can I tattoo over a scar?
The scar should be fully healed — typically at least 12 months. The tissue must be flat and the colour normalised. Tattooing too early risks poor ink retention. Send a photo and we'll tell you honestly.
Will the tattoo completely hide the scar?
It greatly reduces visibility but usually doesn't make a scar invisible. A well-chosen design turns the scar into part of the artwork — for most people that's the strongest outcome.
What designs work best for scar cover-up?
Botanicals (ferns, flowers) that follow the scar's direction, ornamental mandala sections, and fine-line designs tend to work best. We design around your specific scar shape — no generic templates.
