If you want your vegan lifestyle to extend to your tattoo, we can accommodate that. Let us know before your appointment and we will prepare vegan-certified ink and products for your session.
What makes a tattoo vegan?
Some conventional tattoo inks contain animal-derived ingredients — bone char for deep blacks, gelatin as a binder, or lanolin as a moisturiser. Vegan ink replaces these with plant-based or synthetic pigments. Beyond the ink, the soap used to clean the area, the stencil adhesive and the aftercare product should also be animal-free.
What to check for a vegan tattoo session
- Ink: Vegan-certified brands include World Famous, Eternal Ink (certified lines), Intenze.
- Soap and cleaning: Plant-based antiseptic soap instead of animal-derived alternatives.
- Application aids: Stencil adhesive and any cream-based products should be lanolin-free.
- Aftercare: Plant-based tattoo balm — e.g. Hustle Butter or equivalent — instead of bepanthen.
