Where and how to get a tattoo in Istanbul
Choosing the right studio matters more than the design itself. Three things to check: sterile work (the needle is single-use and opened in front of you), a strong, verifiable portfolio in the style you want, and clear pricing stated up front. Reviews and real work tell you a lot too. Our studio is in Beşiktaş, easy to reach from both the European and Asian sides.
Is a same-day tattoo possible?
Yes. For small and medium pieces, ready-made or simple designs, we usually open same-day slots. Large, custom projects need design time and go by appointment. Message us before you come and we hold your time. See: same-day tattoo · flash tattoo.
Which area of Istanbul should you choose?
Although the studio is in Beşiktaş, our clients come from all over the city. From the Asian side the ferry is the most practical route (Kadıköy ~20 min, Üsküdar ~15 min); from the European side it is a short metro or bus ride. You will find step-by-step directions from your area on the district pages below.
Which styles and services?
We have a curated roster working in fine line, realism, blackwork, old school, mandala and custom designs. If you want to cover an old tattoo, cover-up is also our specialty. See our real work in the portfolio and the artists here.

Tattoo in Istanbul — FAQ
How do I choose a good tattoo studio in Istanbul?
Check three things: sterile work (single-use needle, opened in front of you), a strong portfolio in the style you want, and clear pricing stated up front. Real reviews and healed-work photos build trust too.
Can I get a same-day tattoo in Istanbul?
For small and medium pieces, yes, we usually open same-day slots. Large and custom work needs design time and an appointment. Message us before you come and we will confirm availability and hold your time.
How much do tattoos cost in Istanbul?
The price depends on size, detail and placement; small pieces have a minimum. We give you the exact price after seeing your design, in a free consultation.
Where in Istanbul is your studio?
In Beşiktaş, within walking distance of the pier and bazaar. Easy to reach by ferry from the Asian side (Kadıköy ~20 min, Üsküdar ~15 min) and by metro or bus from the European side.
Is getting a tattoo in Istanbul safe?
In a sterile studio, yes. The needle is single-use and opened in front of you, the work area is disinfected each session, and the artist wears gloves. What matters is that the studio is certified and runs cleanly.
Can I get a tattoo in Istanbul as a tourist?
Of course. Your ID or passport is enough (18+). A small or ready-made design fits easily into a holiday day, and we have German- and English-speaking staff.
